Nearly two-thirds of Military Veterans have reported having difficulty securing employment in their civilian life. This is partly due to the economic environment but also because their military skills and language do not always cleanly align with what business leaders are looking for. This is where we can help.

We work with the Veteran population to provide funding for online learning, in-person classes, on-the-job training with pay, and a mentoring relationship to help them integrate back into the civilian world more easily. When they graduate from our program, they have practical references and the certifications they need to get a leg up within the cloud technology space.

Our founder and CEO, Gregory Scott Henson, is uniquely positioned to help graduating veterans land a job in the industry. With contacts in the industry and experience as the former CEO of Henson Group, one of Microsoft's largest Azure partners, he has the knowledge and connections to help veterans succeed.

Our Mission

Cloud Veterans is the bridge between military service and a livable wage in tech. We give honorably discharged U.S. veterans free cloud training, certification prep, and direct job placement across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. No tuition. No recruiting fees. 100% volunteer-led.

Since 2019 we have served over 1,000 veterans, with an 85% first-attempt certification pass rate, 70% placed in jobs within six months, and an average starting salary above $90,000. We are not a recruiter and not a tuition-charging bootcamp. We are veterans helping veterans turn service into careers.

About Our Founder,
Gregory Scott Henson

Cloud Veterans was founded by Gregory Scott Henson, a serial entrepreneur and one of the most active operators in the Microsoft cloud ecosystem. He started Henson Group in 2002 from a one-bedroom New York City apartment in the aftermath of 9/11 and built it into one of Microsoft's largest global Azure partners, ranked #132 on the Inc. 5000 with zero outside funding.

He started Cloud Veterans for one reason. The skills that make veterans exceptional in uniform (discipline, mission focus, the ability to learn hard systems fast) are exactly what the cloud industry needs and consistently overlooks. Nearly two-thirds of veterans report trouble finding civilian work, not because they lack ability, but because the hiring world does not speak their language. Gregory Scott Henson has spent two decades hiring, training, and placing technical talent, and he uses those same industry relationships to open doors for the veterans who come through this program.

Today he serves as Founder and Executive Director of Cloud Veterans. He is also CEO of SocialPost.ai, an AI software company, and Managing Partner of Henson Venture Partners, where he backs early-stage founders. Every paid advisory session he takes sends 100% of its fee back to Cloud Veterans.
