Privacy Policy

The short version
Cloud Veterans Inc. does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not to recruiters, not to schools, not to advertisers, not to anyone. We collect what we need to run the program and report to the funders who pay for it, and nothing more.
What we collect
When you apply: your name, phone, email, date of birth, LinkedIn profile, branch of service, military status, discharge status, highest rank, city and state, education level, employment status, IT experience, certifications you already hold, your desired training track, redacted proof of service (DD-214 or military ID), and a headshot.
Optional, collected only for grant reporting: ethnicity and household income. You may select "Prefer not to say" for either. It will not affect your application.
When you contact us: your name, email, subject, and message.
When you donate: donations are processed by Donorbox. We receive your name, contact information, and gift amount. We never see or store your card number.
Standard web data: this site runs on Wix, which collects basic traffic analytics.
Why we collect it
• To determine your eligibility and enroll you
• To issue your training license and exam vouchers
• To support you through certification, resume help, and job placement
• To report aggregate program outcomes to the grant funders and sponsors who pay for your seat
Who we share it with
• Our training platform provider, only to issue your license.
• Employers, only after you tell us to, and only the information you approve.
• Grant funders and sponsors, in aggregate numbers only. Never your name, your contact information, or your documents.
• Service providers who operate our website, forms, email, and donation processing, each bound to protect it.
• Where required by law.
We do not share your information with any for-profit company for its own use, including any company affiliated with our founder.
Your proof of service
Upload it redacted. Remove your Social Security number before you send it. We store it only to verify eligibility and we will delete it on request.
Your choices
Email hello@cloudveterans.org to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or unsubscribe from our emails. We will respond within 30 days.
How long we keep your information
We retain applicant records while you are active in the program, plus [INSERT NUMBER] years afterward for grant reporting. After that we delete them.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfect, and we will notify you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Children
This site and program are not directed to anyone under 18.
